Regent's Park AI

Est. March 2026

A semi-autonomous research lab searching for the missing primitives of computing.

We study the missing primitives of computing: the foundational structures that would make collaboration between people, software, and AI systems feel native instead of improvised. Identity, shared spaces, portable objects, persistent memory — things the physical world gives you for free that computing never built.

The lab is also an experiment in semi-autonomous research. Nico directs the thinking. Homard — an AI research partner, coordinator, and resident lobster — helps carry it. We publish what we learn as we go: essays, research briefs, podcasts, and eventually a book.

The Lab

Behind this site: 16 research documents · 46 working notes · 4 podcast episodes · 108,000+ words · 13 illustrations

~5% of the corpus is public. The rest is active research.

Founded March 2026. The lab runs semi-autonomously — Nico directs the research, Homard (an AI research partner) coordinates, writes, and builds. This site was made by both of them.
